Questo film è una rivisitazione della saga dell'isola di Drum con nuove musiche e animazioni. Bibi è stata rimossa dalla trama sostituita da Nico Robin e Franky, che nella serie principale entrano nella ciurma dopo questa saga. La ciurma di Cappello di Paglia arriva sull'isola di Drum alla ricerca di un medico dato che Nami si ammala. I protagonisti dovranno affrontare il vecchio re dell'isola, Wapol e suo fratello Musshuru che hanno privato il popolo di tutti i medici. Rufy e gli altri conosceranno la renna parlante Chopper e la dottoressa Kureha aiutandoli ad affrontare la minaccia dell'isola.
